Visit Qaitbay Citadel and the ruins of the Pharos Lighthouse
Overlooking the eastern port of Alexandria, Qaitbay Citadel is a masterpiece from the Mamluk era and you can visit it through Egypt travel packages. History
The Pharos Lighthouse remained in operation for 17 centuries before it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1303. Sultan Qaitbay used its remains, which remained destroyed for more than a century, to fortify the port. You can learn more information through Egypt tour packages.
