Abdeen Palace

Unless you’re into armaments or over-the-top golden objects gifted to various Egyptian presidents, Abdeen Palace can be easily overlooked. Today the once grand salons are home to a military museum, the unintentionally funny presidential-gift rooms complete with a gold palm tree and a painting of President Sisi made entirely from thumb tacks and a museum that holds some very fancy 18th and 19th century silverware there are also many palaces in cairo such as Manial Palace which built by prince mohamed ali palaca and Aisha Fahmy Palace which built in 1907 and Baron's Palace which is crazy and weird mansion and Uruba Palace which the biritish used it as military hospital and Amir Taz Palace in cairo also

Started in 1863 the palace was the centerpiece of Khedive Ismail’s plan for a modern Cairo, inspired by Paris’ recent makeover. The khedive even brought in French planner Baron Haussmann as a consultant. He wanted the palace finished for the 1869 opening of the Suez Canal to impress the visiting dignitaries but the 500 rooms weren’t finished until 1874.
