Aisha Fahmy Palace

Built in 1907 for Egyptian aristocrat Ali Fahmy, Aisha Fahmy Palace reopened as an arts center in mid-2017 after years of closure. The interior of the palace has been restored in the Rococo style with its silk-covered walls, frescoes, carved wood fireplaces and stunning triple-arched stained glass window overlooking the grand staircase to its former glory. Today, the salons are used as a gallery for temporary exhibitions. When there are no exhibitions, the palace may be closed, check the notice on the fence outside. To enter look for the gate on 26th of July Street and be prepared to leave your passport with gate security.
