Visit King Farouk’s Rest House: A Neo-Pharaonic Treasure

King Farouk’s Rest House is a one of a kind east of the Great Pyramid of Khufu in a neo-Pharaonic style. Built in 1946 by Mustafa Fahmy it has been unused for years.

In 2017 the Egyptian government announced plans to restore it, so maybe we will see this historic landmark back to life. Once restored King Farouk’s Rest House will give us a glimpse into the past, merging modern history with ancient Egyptian beauty.
