Across from the grand Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is the Mosque of Al Rifai, another impressive building. Construction started in 1869 and finished in 1912. This beauty houses the tombs of modern Egypt’s royal family including Khedive Ismail and King Farouk. The last shah of Iran is also buried here. When you enter their tombs are on the left of the entrance so you get a bit of royal history with this beautiful mosque there are another mosques in egypt such as Mosque of Mohammed Ali which is a beautiful example of ottoman archititure and Mosque of sayyidna Al Hussein which is one of the most islamic sites also Mosque of Qaitbey which built in 1474
