Museo Mevlevi

Just north of the Amir Taz Palace and behind a green door with the Italian Institute sign is the Sama Khane Museum in Cairo. It’s a window into Ottoman culture and spirituality. Under the main hall is a 14th century madrassa which was uncovered during the restoration. The excavation notes are very detailed and give insight into preservation and architectural heritage.
