God Atum also known as Atem Items Atum Ra or Tem is the central god of Heliopolis and one of the Most important deities of ancient Egypt He is the creator of the universe and his origins go back to the original ocean before creation
In Egyptian mythology Atum was the one who gave life to his children Shu the god of air and Tefnut the goddess of moisture. His children would go on to create Geb the earth god and nut the Sky goddess.
He is depicted as a bearded man wearing a double crown Atum was the first god to be depicted in human form replacing the earlier serpent god Imy UAF As a solar god Atum was also associated with the evening sun and is often depicted with a ram phoenix or mongoose head At other times he is depicted as a serpent emerging from the primordial waters daily
In the Egyptian pantheon Atum was part of the triad of solar gods with Ra the midday sun god and Khepri the god of the dawn sun Together they represented the different phases of the sun and its daily journey.
