4 Days, 3 Nights Siwa Oasis From Cairo – Desert Safari Egypt

After breakfast, start your adventure with a visit to the salt lakes. These hyper saline lakes like the Dead Sea in Jordan are famous for their healing properties and a great swimming experience. Then visit Cleopatra's Bath, a spring where legend says Cleopatra herself swam.

Then continue your desert adventure with a Jeep 4x4 to the Great Sand Sea. Visit the hot and cold springs of Bir Waheed and have Bedouin tea at sunset. End the day with BBQ dinner and overnight in a desert camp. For those who prefer more comfort, eco-lodges in Siwa are available.

Breakfast at the hotel then visit the main attractions of Siwa Oasis. Start with the Temple of the Oracle, also known as the Temple of Amun, famous for its history and the association with Alexander the Great.

Then visit Cleopatra's Bath again and the Temple of Umm Ubaydah built by Pharaoh Nectanebo of the 30th Dynasty. Then visit Gebel Al Mawta (Mountain of the Dead) a conical mountain with tombs from 26th Dynasty, Ptolemaic and Roman periods.

In the evening head to Fatnas Island to enjoy the sunset over Birket Siwa surrounded by gardens with banana, date and olive trees.

Breakfast at the camp at 7:00 AM then drive back to Siwa Oasis. Visit Shali Fort, an ancient fort and free time for shopping. Then visit the Mountain of the Dead to see the tombs again.

Afterward, drive back to Cairo, passing through Marsa Matrouh along the North Coast of Egypt.
