Africa Dahabiya Nile Cruise

Day 1

• Transfer from Luxor to Esna, arriving around 11 AM.
• Explore the Temple of Khnum, just a short walk from where the dahabiya is moored.
• Return to the boat for lunch and begin your journey along the Nile.

Day 2

• During breakfast, sail to El Kab, where you can explore the great mud brick wall surrounding the Temple of Nekbet.
• Walk through the small fishing village and visit four tombs before returning to the boat for lunch.
• Sail on to Edfu and visit the temple in the afternoon.
• Moor for the night at El Fowersi Island.

Day 3

• Sail down to Wadi Chat, arriving in the afternoon.
• Take a walk along the desert road, following the ancient caravan trail and discovering interesting pieces of art along the way.
• Meet the boat at Gebel Silsila and moor for the night in front of Horemheb’s Chapel.

Day 4

• After breakfast, explore the site of Horemheb’s Chapel at Silsila, including a short stroll to view the stelas along the river.
• Return to the boat and sail to Ferris, a village known for its extensive mango groves.
• Enjoy a dip in the Nile, followed by lunch.
• Continue sailing down to Manea, where you will moor for the night.

Day 5

• After breakfast, visit the Temple of Sobek and Horus at Kom Ombo.
• Return to the boat for lunch and sail for the rest of the day.
• Spend the night at Companea Village, with a great view of the Aswan Suspension Bridge.

Day 6

• Enjoy breakfast on deck, followed by final packing.
• Transfer to Aswan Town, where you will be taken to your hotel or the airport, depending on your schedule.
