Itinerary

Pickup and Transfer

We’ll pick you up from the hotel in Cairo or Giza by our ETB Tours Egypt guide and drive to Wadi El Rayan through the Cairo-El Fayoum desert road in an air-conditioned 4x4 Safari vehicle.

Wadi El Rayan

Wadi El Rayan has two lakes connected by waterfalls, 42 meters below sea level in the Western Desert. This was created in 1970 from excess water from Fayoum farms. A beautiful view of waterfalls in the middle of the desert.

Wadi Hitan

Then head to Wadi Hitan, a 40 km track inside Wadi El Rayan Natural Reserve. and it's Known as the Valley of the Whales, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its ancient whale skeletons. Visit the open air museum that dates back 40 million years and see over 400 types of whale and sea cow skeletons, other bones, shells and plant fossils in soft rock.

Mudawara Mountain

On the way to Wadi Hitan stop at Mudawara Mountain, west of El Fayoum Lake. It’s a great view point to take some nice photos.

Lunch and Bedouin Tea
