Itinerary

Meet at 3:30 AM and depart at 4:00 AM to Bahariya Oasis, 365 km southwest of Giza Governorate in the Egyptian Western Desert. Check-in at the White Desert Hotel and have lunch.

Visit historical sites including the tomb of Amunhotep Hawi, one of the oldest in Bahariya Oasis, and sandstone tombs from the Saite period. The Temple of Alexander the Great, the only one dedicated to him and the Valley of the Golden Mummies near Farafra Oasis with around 10,000 mummies from the Roman era.

Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast head to the White Desert in Farafra Oasis. This natural wonder is like visiting another planet. Stop for photos and enjoy the view.

Then head to Farafra to visit the Badr Museum of Fine Arts, famous for its environmental paintings made from materials found in the oasis like colored sand from the White Desert and sculptures from palm trunks.

Head to Dakhla, arrive in the evening at Shanda Lodge Hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast visit Deir Al-Hagar, a Roman temple dedicated to Amun, Mut and Khonsu. The temple is decorated with ancient images and inscriptions and gives us a glimpse into the Pharaonic belief system.

Then visit the Mazuqah Tombs, rock hewn tombs with colorful scenes of life in the oases during the Roman era. Then the Islamic Qasr Village in Dakhla Oasis, a preserved example of Islamic urban architecture from the Ottoman era.

Back to the hotel for lunch, then optional safari or camel riding to watch the sunset, have Bedouin tea and finish the day with dinner, party and overnight.

After breakfast head to Kharga. Visit the Islamic City of Balat, famous for its historic architecture from the Ottoman era, wooden thresholds and remnants of a royal palace.
Continue to the Hibis Temple, one of Egypt most significant temples, representing various historical periods from Pharaonic to Roman eras.

Conclude the tour with lunch before returning to Cairo via Asyut.
